The angel Gavriel came to Miriam in Nazareth and greeted her. Miriam was startled and wondered what the greeting meant. He said she would bear a son and name him Yeshua, and that he would receive the throne of his father David.
Miriam asked how this would happen. The angel spoke of the Ruach HaKodesh and the power of the Most High overshadowing her. He also told her about Elisheva, reminding her that nothing is impossible for God.
Miriam entrusted herself to the word spoken to her. Later she praised God for noticing his humble servant and rejoiced in him as her Savior.
