Yeshua and his disciples crossed the Kinneret by boat. A man who lived among the tombs and was under the power of unclean spirits came to meet him at once. No one could bind him. He broke the chains and harmed himself.
Yeshua commanded the spirit to leave the man. The spirits asked to enter a nearby herd of pigs, and the herd rushed down the slope into the lake. The local people came and saw the man who had been held by spirits sitting clothed and in his right mind.
The man asked to go with Yeshua. Yeshua told him to return home and tell his family what Adonai had done for him and how he had shown him mercy. The man went throughout the region telling what Yeshua had done for him, and everyone who heard was amazed.
